Deadlines for FLS testing:
The ABS initial registration deadline for the 2020 general surgery qualifying exam is April 15, 2020:
- ABS Qualifying Exam applicants are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to take the FLS exam no later than March 15, 2020 to meet the initial deadline for submitting their application to the ABS. We cannot guarantee receipt of your FLS certification by the ABS initial registration deadline if the FLS Exam is taken after March 15, 2020.
- Reprints of FLS Certificates for the ABS initial registration deadline should be requested from the FLS office no later than March 31, 2020.
The ABS late registration deadline for the 2020 general surgery qualifying exam is May 15, 2020:
- ABS Qualifying Exam applicants are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to take the FLS exam no later than April 15, 2020 to meet the late deadline for submitting their application to the ABS. We cannot guarantee receipt of your FLS certification by the ABS late registration deadline if the FLS Exam is taken after April 15, 2020.
- Reprints of FLS Certificates for the ABS late registration deadline should be requested from the FLS office no later than April 30, 2020.
